There are literally hundreds of movie soundtracks out there that have touched the hearts of millions of people, making them cry, punch the air with joy or throw their popcorn on the floor and walk out in anger but how on earth can one of those electro acoustic guitars ^(http://www.indiefilmhouse.com/goto/http://www.dv247.com/guitars/electro-acoustic-guitars/) really make so many different sounds? What are the best movie tracks of all time?
Wizard Of Oz
This has to be up there simply because it is the best musical ever. Technicolor certainly wasn’t a usual thing to have in a film in 1939 so for the Wizard Of OZ to be featured mostly in colour was a major victory. Surprisingly when the film was first released it only made a very small profit, it then became one of the most loved films ever. How about songs like Over the Rainbow and the Yellow Brick Road, they are classics in their own right that is for sure.
Jaws
John Williams could easily have his own category on this article but Jaws has to be one of his most recognised and early pieces of work. This was what really kick started his career and although Spielberg has initially laughed at the main piece of music he later went on to say that the film would have only been half as successful without the input of Williams.
Back To The Future
This is on the list because no matter how many times I watch this film it will never get old and the music always makes it better. Alan Silvestri did a fantastic job on the music along with Huey Lewis and the News with the two tracks “The Power of Love” and “Back in Time”. It is safe to say that the films main theme is one of the most recognised in the world.
There are other films that need a mention such as Star Wars, Grease and Indiana Jones. What Is The Real Secret Behind A Great Tune? Well use a variety of instruments like drum kits ^(http://www.indiefilmhouse.com/goto/http://www.dv247.com/drums-and-percussion/) and use those guitar amplifiers ^(http://www.indiefilmhouse.com/goto/http://www.dv247.com/guitars/guitar-amplifiers/).
